Gift vouchers are available for purchase from the Pro Shop. Gift vouchers can be used towards green fees, lessons, retail purchases or food and beverage in the clubhouse.

We can take payment for your voucher either via direct credit, credit card or debit card over the phone. Our bank account details are as follow:
Wairakei International Golf Course Ltd 06-0287-0477366-00. If you pay by direct credit, please add your name and the word ‘voucher’ to the payee statement details.
Once we have received your payment, we will send out the voucher to you. Please advise if you would like it sent to a physical address or by email.
Your spectator is welcome to accompany you on your round, no charge to walk the course. Cart fee applies if spectators want to ride. Please take note of the dress standard which applies to spectators as well as players on course. For safety reasons the spectator must stay with the player/s on course, it is not safe to wander from the playing group.
Wairakei Clubhouse Café is fully licensed, serving fresh and delicious food whilst overlooking the beautiful scenery of the golf course.
Peak season - mid-September to mid-May - open 7 days a week from 8am to 3pm.
Off Peak season - mid-May to mid-September - open Wednesday to Sunday from 8am to 3pm.

We do not have accommodation on the golf course. Wairakei Resort is the closest accommodation to the golf course. Please note we are not associated with Wairakei Resort. Taupo township is only 6km south of Wairakei and offers a variety of accommodation options to suit any budget and preference. This website is very informative Love Taupo.
Taupo airport is a 20-minute drive from the golf course. Taupo airport has daily flights direct to/from Auckland and Wellington.
We do not offer a caddy service.
Carts are not compulsory. Players may walk, trundlers are complimentary. The majority of players do choose to take carts due to the landscape and distance from green to tee.
We offer quality hire clubs from Callaway, Titleist and Ping. 18 hole club hire: $75. 9 hole club hire: $37.50
Players and spectators must be dressed in appropriate golf attire, neat and tidy at all times. Men: collared shirts with sleeves, dress pants or shorts are required. Ladies: collared shirts with or without sleeves, collared dresses, skirts, skorts and shorts are appropriate. Not permitted: tee shirts, singlets, denim shorts, denim pants, track pants, work boots, jandals. Golf shoes: metal spikes are not permitted on course.
If you are NZ registered you can book online up to two weeks in advance, using your DotGolf membership and going to Golf NZ.

- We would appreciate it if you could please provide Dotgolf membership numbers, or full names and home clubs, for all players before the day of play. If you are requesting multiple tee times then a draw for the order of play will assist us with checking you all in in a timely manner.
